Arrived this morning in the sunshine state and felt the weight of the heat and my pack as I walked through the terminal. So as soon as I checked in I made some additional cuts and was able to shed what turned out to be five pounds.
With directions in hand and Carlos behind the wheel we set off to the post office to ship clothes-no books back home. Quickly found out Carlos couldn't read english and spoke little I didn't expect to be using the little Spanish I know but we got there and had either of us known I wouldve walked there as I did on return.
I was on a mission today to get a sushi fix and having spied several enticing spots to & fro. Having settled into a cozy and crowded place behind the dashboard, I savored some fresh tuna & salmon sushi along with a small eel roll that was the chefs special.
My fortune cookie read "you are ready to take on the world."!!! The cambodian sushi chef laughed at the "auspiciousness" of the message. He also suggested I append the fortune with "yes we can!" (yes we did!). I didn't say what is also a common addition to fortunes-irreverant and inappropriate.
Back at poolside I couldn't connect to the wifi so I just chillaxed a bit. Now the fiesta bowl is in the hands the buckeyes and my hands are tired from typing on this iTouch. Doubt I will type this much of nothing again in this method. Flight to Costa Rica in the morning...
